    Involved in short to medium term assignments so far, I performed the following exercises:
    • Due diligence to assess the product portfolio of a successful young company, prior to its potential take-over by our customers;
    • Day to day local mitigation for a weekly upgraded InterNet application online in Europe while our customer's development team was in US;
    • Multiple workshops mentoring to define the Vision and product strategy of our customer's quickly growing company;
    • Review of RFP and assessment of vendor's proposals for an incumbent's number & address solution;
    • Building and teaching a regular introduction to Telecommunications Network Management for a large training group;
    • Review our Customer's product & services portfolio and segmented the EMEA market to allow for an appropriate sale strategy to be developed;
    • Designed the ServCo specific business processes to be implemented by one of the biggest Telecommunication start-up investment in Europe;
    • Organized the migration from a subcontracted NOC to a core Management center for the European fastest DSL deployment.


1995-1998 Optus, Sydney, Australia
    In the context of the Digital Equipment's Optus Program, I was the Lead Architect of the Network wing of the Optus IT Department, on site.
    I was responsible to design the target architecture that supports the company strategic plan, to define an acceptable path from the current application state, and review each project plan to insure that the migration takes place. A large part of my tasks were dedicated to the multiple planning groups synchronisation, raising awareness of the key players.
    The following subject area have been successfully architected:
    • Enterprise Number Management,
    • Broadnet (Satellite) occasional bookings,
    • ATM service management integration,
    • Generic Service Activation,
    • Generic Service Assurance.


1986-1994 Digital, Sophia Antipolis, France
    "Circle of Excellence" of the Communication, Education & Media Business Unit, I was responsible of the European Consultants and Experts Virtual Team which supported the various sale Telecom account groups for the qualification, the bids and the design of Network Management Solutions.
    On the product side, I have been heavily involved in both the Telecom platforms requirements phase, extrapolating installed base technological trends and customer's business needs, together with the promotion of the final products, organising seminars, studying positioning, and transferring product knowledge to the field.
    Significant contributions include:
    • ENERGIS (UK): Integrated Network Management Solution architecture and bid, to integrate Network and Service management on top of an S.D.H. infrastructure;
    • TLP (Portugal): File Administration System study, to automate configuration and call records transfers from/to OSS systems and Switches;
    • JYDSK Telefon (Denmark): TMN cost-benefits analysis for both the voice and data networks management;
    • HTC (Hungary): Network Management bid, including potential centralised monitoring & control of neighbour countries' ISDN networks;
    • Bezeq (Israel): Study for SS7 trial network monitoring and Expert system based alarm filtering for the whole P.D.H. transmission Network;
    • SFR (France): Consulting aiming at the integration of the analogue and G.S.M. management centres.


1979-1986 Dow Chemical, Valbonne, France
    Developer when I first joined the company, I was managing the DP Operations, System, Office Automation and Network groups when I left.
    The most significant projects I have driven are:
    • Successful IBM migrations, from batch environment to "on-line" SNA, including application porting through the Operating system chain, up to MVS-XA;
    • Development and full implementation over Europe of an electronic mail system, connecting the headquarters with the sales offices and the manufacturing plants;
    • Launch and automation of an internal end-user Help Desk measuring offered Quality of Service and providing support 16 hours a day.


1975-1978 Automatec/BG CHECO, Montréal, Canada
    Immigrant in Canada, I have worked as Project Leader for developing a number of mission critical solutions, all delivered in TBQ (Time, Budget, Quality):
    • Expatriates' compensation: printing in 6 middle East countries of weekly salary slips driven from Quebec;
    • Remote operation of dams: 2 cascaded dams located in James Bay, fully monitored and controlled, from Montreal;
    • Weather collection: interface and transmission protocol developments for the acquisition and the transfer of 20,000+ measurements daily, coast to coast.
